A Rub in the Tub

Last night as I was home alone, out of red wine and chocolate, eating left overs and it was Friday night....shock horror, I was in need of a bit of a pamper.  So I ran a bath and tried out The 5th Element Bath salts I bought recently.
Having a Bath as I noted in my previous post is such a great way to unwind, relax and ease those muscles.  It's an especially great way of relieving tension around the neck and shoulders for us office folk, like you're very own rub in the tub.......well it will have to do until the day I have a live in masseuse at least!!
Having ran my bath and had a nice 15 minute soak I can vouch that the salts are fab.  The biggest attraction for me is that they look great (salts and packaging are luxurious) and the quality of the ingredients is superb.  For example, the ‘Roman Bath’ selection includes Highest Grade Epsom Salt, Organic Hand Harvested Celtic Ocean Sea Salt, Organic Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Pure Essential Oil of Lavender.....can you believe it!?!    You can tell they are authentic from the way they look (natural sea salt is most often grey and slightly damp) they are wet, coarse and smell divine.

The only thing to note is that you need to use the recommended dose to get some of the aroma (which is a good three handfuls).  Even still, you don’t smell them much when you’re in the Bath, however they do feel great on the skin.  Enough oil to feel soft and supple but just the right amount so that you don't feel all waxy!!  My skin did feel great when I got out and the next day.

I'd certainly recommend these for your Bath Salts set....it’s nice to have different options.

The range includes: Roman Bath (as above), Celtic Rose Bath (with Epsom salts as above, Organic Stone Ground Pink Himalayan Crystal Salt, Organic Hand Harvested Celtic Ocean Salt, Pure Essential Oil of Rose) and A Day at the Cape (Epsom salt as above, Organic Hand Harvested Celtic Ocean Salt, Mineral Rich Ground Kelp and Pure Essential Oil of Grapefruit).  These products are great for your skin, not to mention detoxifying, great for circulation and the lymph system.

The salts can be bought at Health and Organic Food shops as well as at the Abbotsford Convent where they offer a range of sizes.  At $12.50 for a kilo of the salts I think it is an absolute bargain.

This is the website for the convent.  They have a shop at the convent which sells the salts amongst other health and wellbeing items.
