I'm sure you've heard more than a few times of the benefits of green tea!!??!!
I quite often have a cup. I don’t mind the taste (it's best to find a brand you like, and another tip is to brew for just 2 minutes or as per instructions, the longer you brew the more bitter the taste).
With all the benefits listed one that sticks out for me is the report of the calming effect green tea has.
Well I now have first hand experience of the effects.............
Being somewhat ‘stressed’ at the moment with a big decision looooming, I fell asleep Sunday night thinking of said problem...only to wake up Monday morning feeling SUPER stressed. It progressed while I was getting ready until I had a tight chest and felt very anxious......this is so out of character for me, so it took me by surprise....
Some yoga therapy I thought...so I started taking deep DEEP breaths, slow, rhythmic and deep...........not helping.......still breathing...........
Reaching the office and resisting the temptation for a lovely Melbourne coffee brew (which I new would only increase the panic) I went for a cup of green tea. I can HONESTLY say it was a life saver......it was like I found the release panic button ;) My chest released and I felt completely different.
In essence i’m saying.....go try it for yourself. You may not reach for a cup when panic stations hit......either way, there are heaps of good reasons to give it a whirl :)
I like Planet Organic Green Tea or any Organic Green Tea!! There is also a super cheap Organic Green Tea in Aldi that I buy!!
